Auckland Hospital
Auckland Hospital is located in the suburb of Grafton and overlooks the Auckland Domain. The site also includes Starship Children’s Hospital. There are a number of clinical and non-clinical buildings on the site.

Department of Critical Care Medicine
The Department of Critical Care Medicine is located on Level 8 of Auckland Hospital and contains 26 beds.
These are a mix of ICU and HDU bed spaces.
Beds 1 through 4 and 17 and 18 (6 beds in total) have the capability to be negative pressure. Beds 19 to 26 are usually used for HDU level patients although patients requiring ICU level care can also be accommodated in these bedspaces.
There are 2 medications rooms situated at either end of the unit. There are multiple trolleys for airway interventions and lines situated throughout the unit.
Additional areas in the unit include the offices and tearoom area, a meeting room, a combined meeting/whanau room, and various storage and other clinical and non-clinical areas.
Registrar Room
The registrar room is located centrally in DCCM. There are computers for your use, shared lockers, and a bed for use for rest during night shift. If you use any sheets or bedding then please ensure that these are tidied away at the end of your shift in order that your colleagues can continue to use and enjoy this space.
